Florida's Women in Energy Leadership Forum

I have the privilege to be in attendance at this fantastic conference on leadership in the energy business.
“Florida’s Women in Energy Leadership Forum” celebrates the success women leaders in the energy industry have demonstrated in growing Florida’s economy and diversifying an already tremendous workforce. In so doing, this Forum highlights the positive impact of the electric and natural gas industries as large employers and economic developers. The leaders in these industries have important obligations to sustain large scale infrastructure efforts for the benefit of those customers they serve and support Florida’s growth as the 3rd largest state in the country. Exciting and important, this industry attracts world class talent.
Although largely attended by women in the industry, this conference would be valuable for anyone looking to gain insights into leadership methods as well as major industry issues such as potential disrupters, risks, financing considerations.
It is remarkable to see so many C-level executives gathered and willing to take so much time to share their knowledge and experience, and to advocate for a stronger, more diverse workforce. Lila Jaber and her team are to be commended for leading this effort.
I will report here on the ideas that I think you will find interesting as this conference proceeds over the next couple days.
Community talk about anything new in the world of engineering, economy, energy, education, etc. David Byrne is a Professional Engineer, a LEED Accredited Professional, a GARP Energy Risk Professional, and has worked in the Electric Utility industry for over 30 years. Any opinions expressed here are David's alone and not of any employer or association.
